Alberto Chiozzi, originally from Italy, is a leading drummer on the straight ahead jazz scene of New York City. Mr. Chiozzi join the European tour of three-time GRAMMY-winning jazz vocalist Samara Joy performing in the most important jazz stages in the world like, the Ronnie Scott Jazz Club in London or the Blue Note in Milan.

Chiozzi's swinging and precise drumming has powered the ensembles of many of Italy's top performers of bebop, the style of music originated by Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and others in the 1940's and 1950's. For over 5 years Alberto has performed in a critical role with trumpeter Tom Kirkpatrick's quartet, headlining at major jazz festivals such as Bologna Jazz Festival, Villa Reale Jazz Festival and the Eddie Lang Jazz Festival, as well as at recognized jazz venues such as Nero Factory, Montagnola Music Club and Cantina Bentivoglio.

Mr. Chiozzi made a name for himself as a bandleader, a rarity in jazz for drummers, who often perform in a background role, releasing his CD "Blue Monday," which received acclaim in Italian music media such as Jazz Convention and On Music. Alberto has also remained busy as a drummer, performing with prominent jazz musicians such as Pasquale Grasso, Tom Kirkpatrick, Vahagn Hayrapepetyan, Luigi Grasso, Stefano Doglioni, Ari Roland, Rossano Sportiello, Paul Gill, Alex Hoffman, Luca Pisani, Oscar Zenari, Andrea Olivi, Alberto Benicchi, Marco Bovi, Valerio Pontraldolfo, Nico Menci, Alex Milo, Andrea Papini, Danilo Memoli among many others in the most important jazz stages in the world like Mezzrow Jazz Club, Zinc Bar, Smalls Jazz Club, Ornithology Jazz Club in New York, the Ronnie Scott Jazz Club in London or the Blue Note in Milan.
